In a saturated market of Klon clones, Tube Screamer copies, and RATs, the 1981 Inventions DRV came along, and instantly became the most hyped pedal of that year... maybe of the decade! It earned rave reviews as a slightly brighter, and refined take on the classic ProCo RAT pedal.

Creator Matthew Hoopes (in collaboration with Bondi Effects Jon Ashley), made one of the best distortion pedals of recent years, by offering a unique take on a familiar circuit, and 1981 Inventions DRV instantly became a modern, classic pedal.
